With temperatures over 50 degrees, this is a great time to give your turf, shrubs, and trees a much needed drink!
The best thing you can do right now is have a hose sprinkler ready to water your landscape on warm days. The combination of high temperatures and very little moisture can cause death in your landscape if water is not supplemented.
It is good practice to pay special attention to slopes and south or west facing areas. These areas tend to dry out first and will be susceptible to mite damage and desiccation.
We recommend watering once or twice per month with a hose on days above 50 degrees. J. Rick offers a monthly deep root watering service for trees in the winter months; contact us for a quote!
